Free Albums and MP3s

With my recent posts about free music on the net, I’ve decided to start a complete subsection of my blog here, for the purpose of promoting free music. The music listed on this page is LEGALLY FREE, public music under a creative commons or equivalent license. You can download it and listen all you want, just don’t claim that any is yours.

I’ll be listing pages by Genre (loosely; if a band is several genres, I’ll just generalize it under one) and then further by Artist. Links to the pages where the album is hosted for free will be given, along with a description of the style of music and my personal rating (I’m open to almost any musical genre, but regardless my opinions will be biased).

Alternative Rock

Evils That Never Came – Northerly Windings 4.5/5

Northerly Windings is an alternative, indie rock band that uses some quite poppy elements. As far as free music goes, I’d give these guys a 4.5/5.

Industrial Metal
